Computer User Support Specialist - KITSS Job Category: Service Contract Act Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Top Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local CACI is looking for Computer User Support Specialists to support our customer, U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), at Scott AFB Illinois. This position is contingent upon award of the USTRANSCOM Command, Control, Communication & Cyber Systems Managed Information Technology Services (MITS), Enterprise support Managed services. What You''ll Get to Do: CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Computer User Support Specialist to work on the Key Information Technology Service Support (KITSS) team . This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization , USTRANSCOM Directorate TCJ6 located at Scott AFB , IL . The KITSS Specialist is responsible for overall personal computer activity. The selected candidate will implement PC policies, procedures and standards, and ensures their conformance with information systems goals and procedures. And ensure that security requirements are implemented and enforced. They conduct training for department staff and end users. Additionally, they effectively use internal data processing, automated office systems and data communications. They m ay support some LAN services. Candidates need excellent problem-solving , communication, and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with desktop hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network connectivity. They must be customer service-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of resources. More About the Role: The KITSS team p rovide s special support for implementing and maintaining Command , Control, Communications, and Computer (C4 ) executive -level information technology services, including but not limited to mobile/wireless computing and telecommunications support to USTRANSCOM ; their immediate support staff, USTRANSCOM Liaison Officers (LNOs) located at various Combatant Commands throughout the world, and other senior managers approved by the USTRANSCOM Chief of Staff (TCCS) . They c reate, delete, and maintain network accounts (unclassified and classified), and e-mail accounts; configure, support, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, personal electronic devices (PEDs), software, printers, desktop Video Teleconferencing (VTC) equipment, other peripherals, and network connectivity; and support remote access program for both the classified and unclassified local area networks . The KITSS team support s requirements for commanders'' visits across the globe . This includes providing executive-level users with off-station unsecure and secure remote access services (e.g., Executive Communication Kit (ECK), dial-up, Virtual Private Network (VPN)) . They provide continuous support to Flag/General Officers and Very Important Persons (VIPs) five (5) business days per week, and on-call as required. O n-call/afterhours support may extend up to 24 hours per day and 7 days per week during real-world events, contingencies, major exercises, or upon Government request . They set-up and configur e end-user devices and appropriate software, troubleshooting and diagnosis equipment required for remote access , and p erform operational checks on C4 end-user devices prior to Temporary Duty (TDY) assignments . The KITSS team m onitor s and report s planned, unplanned, and potential system outages to the team lead and senior-level executives for coordination and approval , and r eport all issues IAW established processes/policy . They r epair, troubleshoot, administer, and maintain C4 end-user devices and services, ensuring activity integration with prescribed Event, Incident, and Problem Management processes . The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, have strong leadership skills, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users. You''ll Bring These Qualifications: * Currently hold an adjudicated Top Secret Clearance and be able to maintain . * Professional certification that meets or exceeds DoD 8570.01. IAT II ( Security+ CE or equivalent) * Bachelor degree in a relevant field of study * Minimum of four ( 4 ) years total experience in Information Technology . * ITIL v3 - Foundation Certification * Working knowledge in all aspects of automation, telecommunications, and IT networks * Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills . * Good communication skills ; be able to communicate with ease in front of large audiences of senior IT and communications personnel.
