Technical Architect - Network

Job DescriptionPosition Summary:The Technical Architect will develop, implement, and support network services and solutions forconsulting clients while mentoring and sharing skills with others. This position will build a customer-focused relationship with client to identify business challenges and develop specifications andrequirements to arrive at the best solution. Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:• Play an active role by collaborating with Practice Leads to create and maintain documents andprocedures.• Execute, with Project Managers and Practice Leads, on large projects on time and on budget.• Provide active leadership and articulate to the Project Management Team what is needed forsuccess and lead the other Engineers to ensure tasks are being completed accurately and timely.• Be the Lead Engineer on projects that have multiple different technologies.• In collaboration with the Project Management Team Members, if applicable, provide dailyupdates on all projects and be proactive with communication to all parties on timelines, hours,resources, concerns, etc.• Proactively execute collaboration between different business units to provide a world classexperience for the customer.• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and take a leadership role in Team and customermeetings.• Contribute to product selection and research, configuration standards and best practices andeducate our sales teams on these products and services so that they can sell them. • Work in a team atmosphere between regional and virtual practices, while at all timesmaintaining a professional and respectful demeanor. These charge hourrequirements will be balanced against professional development and on the job training. It involves attracting,supporting, developing, and retaining a talented and diverse workforce• Organized - Ability of an individual to be structured and methodical in working skills • Persistence - Ability to continue in a course of action in the face of adversity • Technical Aptitude - Ability to relate to topics which require and understanding or specializedknowledge Required Experience:• 5+ years in a technical related field Preferred Experience:• 6-8 years in a technical related field • 4+ years'' experience working as a Consultant Required Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:• Bachelor''s Degree, equivalent certifications or equivalent work experience• At least two or more Professional level certifications • CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCA• Experience designing and architecting network based solutions HEARTLAND BUSINESS SYSTEMS - JOB DESCRIPTIONRevised and Reviewed: 09/03/2021• Installing and supporting Cisco or Client/Aruba network switching and routing products • IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS Experience/Best Practices • Routing Protocols-OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2 / L3 Architecture and Design Multicast, QoS Preferred Skills, Education and/ or Certifications:• CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, ACMP, ACCP, ACCX, ACEAP, MCE or equivalent level certifications • Installing and supporting Cisco or Client/Aruba network switching and routing products • IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS Experience/Best Practices • Cisco Nexus technologies such as VDC, vPC, VXLAN, etc. • Routing Protocols-OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2 / L3 Architecture and Design Multicast, QoS • Cisco based ISR-based VPN solutions such as FLEX-VPN, GET-VPN, or DMVPN. • Data Center / Core design, configuration, and implementation utilizing Cisco Nexus Architecture(9K, 7K, 6K, 5K, 3K, 2K, 1000V). • Software Defined Networking (SDA, SD-WAN) • Cisco/Meraki/Aruba Wireless o Controller or autonomous based o Design using Ekahau or similar product o High Density/Manufacturing/Office/Education • Familiarity or experience with: o Meraki (Wireless, Security Products, Switches, SDWAN) o Citrix NetScaler Client/SDWAN deployment a plus o Network security appliances Including Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto firewalls and relatedtechnology o Additional core technologies such as: Riverbed, OpenDNS, Infoblox, CiscoOptical, NetBrain, FireEye, SolarWinds, SPLUNK
