Responsibilities Related Management has a rare opportunity for a hard-working, dynamic Floating Property Recertification Specialist supporting our Ohio affordable housing portfolio (approx. 959 units). The ideal candidate would be a detail oriented individual accustomed to working on a deadline driven schedule. This person must have the ability to function autonomously while also working in conjunction with on-site property teams. As a Floating Recertification Specialist at Related Management Company (RMC), you''ll get to use your organizational skills and experience to provide the preeminent affordable housing accommodations in our communities. Through your daily interactions with prospective and current residents, you''ll create a welcoming experience and sense of community. Essential Functions: Monitoring changes in HUD and LITHC regulations and requirements and implementing changes as indicated. Maintain proper maintenance of tenant files and computer records to ensure accuracy according to HUD and LIHTC regulations. Determining financial eligibility for all new admissions into the affordable program Processing of all new applicants. Monitoring of waitlists, and EIV master binders for compliance with federal regulations and requirements. Assist and review all 8823''s corrections and correspondence. Participates in all tax credit reviews by outside entities. Monitoring of re-certification notification letters in compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations. Experience with HUD Section 8, LIHTC, and/or other affordable housing programs. Knowledge of HUD 4350.3, EIV, Reasonable Accommodation Requests, LIHTC income limits and rent calculations, Fair Housing, Real Estate Licensing A deep sense of community awareness and a determination to make improvements Proven ability to build trust with members of a community with different backgrounds, motivations, and concerns in order to obtain information and solve problems COS certification minimum required, HCCP preferred Work Environment: This position requires regular travel* throughout Ohio and potential travel to Indiana, South Carolina, North Carolina and Maryland and must be comfortable working on-site at various properties. *Travel will be reimbursed per mile traveled, as well as, reimbursements for hotel and meals for overnight travel LI-ES1 IND Please note that Related has adopted a COVID-19 vaccination policy to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees.
