Job Description: The Network Engineer is responsible for maintaining JASPER''s IT infrastructure. The Network Engineer participates in maintaining JASPER systems to ensure they support the business needs and that they are secure and highly available. They work with both business partners and our software development teams to promote a culture of continuous improvement. They will be responsible for projects that are focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing operations activities within the project life cycle. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. They ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and support business growth.Responsibilities for the Network Engineer Senior: Maintain infrastructure for both on premises and in the cloud; systems include Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365 global administration Maintain wireless networks such as Aruba and configuration to maintain reliability and security Keeping JASPER systems patched and up to date Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards (scalability) Utilize enterprise tools to manage, monitor and secure large enterprise data center environments Troubleshoot server- and network-related problems and quickly resolve issues Seek out automation opportunities to build consistency and quality with speed Research and implement new technologies Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours escalations Troubleshoot production issues and analyze failures to minimize outages and interruptions What It Helps to Know - And Know How to Do: Minimum 3-5 years'' experience as a Network Engineer Knowledge of cloud technologies Azure and AWS Experience with Virtualization (VMware), On-prem & Public Cloud (Azure) technologies.
