Bon Secours - Southside Medical Center serves the communities of Petersburg, Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Fort Lee and Chester and the counties of Prince George, Dinwiddie, Sussex, Surry and Southern Chesterfield.May be eligible for $5,000 sign-on bonus - restrictions apply!Registered Nurse (RN) - Southside Medical Center:Job Summary:The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient statusDetermining the priority of the patient''s problems and needsImplementing clinical nursing interventionsHaving a highly diverse skillsetDeveloping and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomesEnsuring a safe and therapeutic environment Essential Job FunctionsIn collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team, conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment and evaluates treatment effectiveness; administers medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Virginia Nursing Practice Act and Mercy Health policies and procedures; serves as point of contact for patients'' care coordination throughout hospital departmentsActs as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the departmentIncorporates the professional practice model into care delivery.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
