DescriptionNursing Consultant Institutional Join our team to be a Nursing Home Surveyor for the Aging and Long-Term Support Administration where you''ll advocate, inspire quality care, and protect a vulnerable population. Based in Lynnwood, you''ll plan, organize, and conduct onsite surveys, inspections, and complaint investigations in state-licensed nursing homes in Snohomish County, North King County, Kirkland/Redmond area. Your work schedule would be Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This job will allow you to expand upon your current knowledge of patient advocacy by delving into the quality of care in the living environments of skilled nursing facilities. We are looking for RNs who have a high level of integrity, clinical nursing skills, critical thinking skills, and are concerned about ensuring residents'' well-being and safety. Some of what you will doConduct onsite federal certification surveys and complete accurate, timely, computerized reports, evaluating nursing care per state regulationsMake observations of resident services and care and the physical environment in which the services are provided Observe and interview residents, staff, family members, and others associated with the resident Obtain information regarding residents'' care and services from professional recordsServe as team coordinator, including planning the survey, making team assignments, problem-solving, and communicating findings to the facilityParticipate in education, training, and administrative hearingsWho should apply Professionals with a valid Washington state license to practice as a Registered Nurse or the ability to obtain a Washington state license prior to starting And, an associate nursing degree + 5 years of experience as an RN in a long-term care settingOr, a bachelor of science in nursing + 3 years of experience as an RN in a long-term care settingOr, a master of nursing/master of science in nursing + 2 years as an RN in a long-term care setting Desired Compassionate, effective, and flexible verbal and written communication skills in order to draw information from othersStrength in managing competing prioritiesAbility to thrive with work that involves day-to-day flexibilityPublic health knowledgeProven ability to identify personal or business issues, develop and implement solutions This job requires travel to meet business needs.
