Area Director of Sales Responsibilities• The Director of Catering Sales & Events will understand Hotel operations including food & beverage operation, meeting capacities, service and hotel features and delivering memorable experiences again and again.• Set sales strategies to achieve overall property goals • Work closely with Hotel GM and cluster sales team to assist in maximizing the capacity of The Trilogy• Train and support all sales associates and ensure performance in accordance with established hotel standards• Proactive solicitation of new business to achieve revenue goals• Target accounts, markets or segments with proactive solicitation• The Director of Catering Sales & Events will participate in local networking organizations, community, and industry events while representing the Hotel in a professional manner• Manage and maintain vendor relations• Meet monthly revenue goals for catering sales• Strive for consistent improvement Guest Satisfaction scores to meet or exceed industry standards. • Securing new accounts in deployed market segment. • Maintaining existing accounts and developing future business. • Developing and maintaining good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups, companies, and trade organizations. • Monitoring sales activities to ensure that contracts and proposals are sent and followed up on in a timely manner.
