Python Data EngineerWe are looking for a Data Engineer with great knowledge of Python who is eager to learn while working with a team of like-minded professionals. Our ideal candidate should have extensive and hands-on experience with Python on designing, implementing, testing, and scaling Python scripts, working with Data Frames and APIs. Who will drive democratization of data, making it accessible for self-service by various user groups. Proficient in modern data technologies, access mechanisms, protocols with deep understanding of technical know-hows.Position location: We''re all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote.A Day in the Life of a Data Engineer:• High attention to detail • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on data• Understanding of Test-driven development principles• Knowledge of Git/SVN, Azure DevOps, GitHub• Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes• Must be able to troubleshoot and solve problems • Identify and propose process improvements• Build and own instrumentation to ensure secure data collaboration and increased ease of discovery• Help move data from legacy systems to modern data ecosystem• Stay current on industry trends and data technologies• Presenting and discussing proposed approaches with the team and arriving at the best viable option• Understanding the functional requirements of the software and/or scripts for data transformation and exploring available options to enable the functionalities• Collaborating with the team and contributing to a learning environmentWhat We Are Looking For:• BA/BS in computer science or related field or equivalent relevant experience• Minimum 4 years of related experience.• Minimum 4 years of experience with Python • Cloud experience - Azure preferred • Have hands-on experience with libraries as Pandas, Numpy and Azure libraries for Python etc.• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, ability to evaluate fit-for-purpose data technologies• Proficient in SQL and Stored Procedures in MSSQL• Experience with Python development environments, including, but not limited to Jupyter, Google Colab notebooks• Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Quart is a plus• Knowledge of REST architectural style and RESTful APIs• Coding practices such as microservices, integrations, packaging, debugging, and monitoring• Strong experience in processing data and drawing insights from large data sets• Experience implementing modern data platforms for various hot, warm, cold data needs• Experience implementing streaming data platforms• Experience exposing data assets securely as APIs• Solid understanding of microservices architecture pattern• Testing and deploying the services as part of the overall process• Ability to articulate data specific user stories• CPG industry knowledge is a big plus• Experience with Kubernetes deployments and containerized applications with Docker is a plus• Demonstrate ability to work effectively with others within a complex, fast paced organization Compensation/BenefitsCompetitive Base SalaryMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance on day onePerformance Bonus401K with up to 10% in matching contributionsBright Horizons Family Solutions - Back up care, tutoring, etc.Transgender benefitsFertility benefitsTuition Reimbursement ProgramPaid holidays and vacation daysUp to $300 Fitness ReimbursementUp to $300 Massage ReimbursementHealth Resources including Free Headspace membership, 1:1 Health Coaching and more.Who We Are: You might have our iconic cranberry juice in your fridge or have gotten into heated holiday debate about what''s better - canned or fresh cranberry sauce.
