Apply online today!We offer:$20 - $25 per hourOther benefits to be discussed at interviewResponsibilities - Glass and Framing Technician:Install and fabricate glassGlass cutting, drilling, coating and glazingSet glass doors into frames and bolt metal hinges, locks, handles and other hardware to attach doors to frames and walls using a levelInstall pre-assembled wood or metal frameworks for doors and windows before glass panel installation using hand toolsCut, put together, measure or install metal frames and enclosures for glass panels in various areas and structures, including bathtubs, showers, display cases, solariums and skylightsRead and understand blueprints and specifications to know necessary work details, including color, shape, size, type and thickness of glass to be installed, framing location, procedures for installation and any scaffolding or other staging items needed before beginning workDrive trucks to work locations and unload tools and equipment, and use suction cups or cranes to lift out glass panelsCut and remove old and broken glass before installing replacement glassPack loose areas between glass panels and molding or frames with glazing compound, and trim excess material with a glazing knifeLift, hold and secure glass panels and mirrors into position with putty, cement, screws or boltsRequirements - Glass and Framing Technician:Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervisionManual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Good interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to read engineering drawings (blueprint reading)Ability to read calipers and gauges and use equipment and machinesMust have an understanding of the decimal and metric systems of measurementHigh school diploma or equivalentApprenticeshipKnow all OSHA construction jobsite requirementsKnow and understand building and construction methods, materials and toolsPlease upload your resume and complete the online assessmentMust be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screening.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
