POSITION SUMMARY: As part of the Services and Delivery organization and reporting to the Services Manager, the person in this position will play a key role in in the development, execution and maintenance of the data management systems and process interfaces that support the Operations Platform. In the role of Program Manager, this individual will coordinate with all departments to gather data requirements to establish the digital requirements traceability to support automation in compliance. The successful candidate will also influence the development of business material to support the business development team in the marketing and sales of NuScale services associated with the Operations Platform. Client interaction is expected to answer technical and operational information requests and to demonstrate the capabilities of the platform. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop a big data strategy for implementation in long-term client accessible cloud-based operations. Work with end-users/groups to decompose program requirements and establish the key data relationships needed for automated program management. Oversee and assist in the development and validation of data import and export processes, database queries, process workflows, and data reporting.. Influence decision making within the Engineering, Operations, and Services organizations to create smart program and process requirements to support standardization and scalable implementation. Develops resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity and innovation. Exercises judgment within broadly defined policies and practices using professional principles and company objectives to resolve complex issues. Plans, organizes, and performs innovative and complex process testing assignments on a team dedicated to the development of testing, operations and engineering programs. Able to manage large projects and complete tasks with minimal oversight from leadership. Acts independently to determine or develop methods and procedures on new or special assignments, informs strategic conversations, and leads tactical ones. Interact with internal and external management representatives on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines. Presents technical information concerning NuScale projects to the NRC and other stakeholders on behalf of NuScale. Mentors and trains others in sound approaches and standards for solving problems in technical areas of expertise. Performs other duties as assigned. Quality Assurance: Commits to the understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards, and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES: Education: Minimum of a B.S. degree in an information technology field is required. Alternatively, 5 years of additional directly applicable full-time working experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in service or product manufacturing, production, or delivery required. Prior experience in a government regulated or export controls environment is highly desirable. Specific big data experience should be in the following areas: Relational databases SQL queries Developing, testing, and maintaining data architectures, pipelines, warehouses, and lakes Transferring data from one system or infrastructure to another using ETL, ELT, and other comparable tools.
