Job Description:Process Engineering Leader (Rockhill, SC)This position is a critical member of the Rock Hill Site Engineering Team. This is a working role performing process engineering duties, as well as supervising and directing the other process engineers. The primary function of this role is to be a Leader and Drive Vision for:Continuous ImprovementImprove plant performance, while improving quality and safety.Responsible for loss analysis & OEE, plan execution leadership, and results tracking to deliver a robust process.Leading, coaching, and reviewing the performance of the Manufacturing and Project Engineer.Ensuring that site and corporate policies and procedures are followedStrong Driver of the ZERO Harm Culture in the facilityAs a Process Engineering Leader, you will:With minimal supervision and high level of decision-making:Interact with operators and maintenance on a regular basis, constantly learning and coaching, to elevate the entire site to step-function changes in world class positioningProvide technical support to productionInitiate and track OEE metrics and recommend / lead RCAs to eliminate major and repeat causes of efficiency loss, scrap, and downtimeStrong statistical analysis skills including implementation of SPC for critical process parametersEnsuring the plant follows KPI standards for measurement and reporting OEEPropose and implement projects to optimize unit operations and improve safety while following MOC guidelinesProvide technical support when needed to the Project Engineer in the development of project scopes and equipment / instrument sizing and specificationsParticipate in site-wide improvement initiatives by performing engineering studies and providing technical and project support as needed. Will work with the Process Development Team to delivery on these initiativesThis role will require some off-shift and weekend work depending on projects and will require hands-on presence on the shop floorAssist closing out site action items from PHA''s and other corporate and regulatory auditsLead, participate in, and assign incident investigations as neededBe the back-up for the manufacturing and project engineerResponsibilities are not limited to above and may have other duties assignedSkills and experiences required:Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and seven (7) years minimum in process and/or production engineering in chemical manufacturingPractical application of PSM, OSHA, and EPA regulationsExperience with OEE, continuous improvement and Lean tools from receiving raw materials to final productUse of a process date historian, Aspen HYSYS and/or other math/engineering/QC programs as needed to drive for better processes and efficienciesDisplays initiative, is a pioneer for change, and self-motivated to exceed expectations.Must demonstrate effective, logical, independent, and excellent engineering analysis and reasoning capabilitiesPresentation skills, both oral and written including communications to personnel at all levels of the Huntsman Organization and third partiesProject Experience (demonstrated ability to go from theoretical idea to implementation in the field and prove operation. Demonstrated generation of ideas)Requires solid leadership skills and the ability to manage both vertically and horizontallyStrong communication skills to interface with all levels of the organization - shop floor through managementWhat can we offer you?
