The Logistics Director provides leadership for all aspects of our SN Operations in GDC 3900 . This includes the Management of end-to-end transportation and warehousing processes and Distribution Resource Planning (DRP). This position will play a critical role in serving our customers On-Time-In-Full and give visibility of shipments/deliveries to business partners, key stakeholders and customers and providing KPI''s. The role will lead a team with 3 Managers and ~12 employees direct and is a governance for Inbound / Outbound/ IDOC activities. The role is responsible for driving overall employee engagement and development as well as be a key contributor to our transformational change in our Logistics network. The position will report to the Sr Director of Logistics Americas and will be part of the Americas leadership team. This role will be essential to secure correct and accurate product flow to our regions, countries, and districts (in US) as well as responsible for all communications and reports to allow proactive decision making. This role also will assist in the control and optimizing W&D cost related to transportations and warehousing labor according to corporate admissions and P&L. This role will perform according corporate guidelines and policies ensuring quality and internal audit requirements to be covered (MAPS) and compliant in regards of working capital and spend management under its scope.Responsibilities:(50%) Leadership- Assist in the Design, implement, lead, and govern end-to-end transportation services and visibility (until ePOD) for inbound to the region from global sources, outbound from central warehouses within the region to local distribution center and last mile distribution to customers.- Lead SN Inbound / Outbound Teams in management of daily activities in supporting Outsourced Distribution (Arvato)- Assist in the Collaboration with Leaders to work closely with Supply & Network Planning and Country Cluster SCM/Logistics for inbound/outbound of the GDC in AMERICAS and for DRP.- Build a resilient transportation network in order to mitigate risks.- Manage compliance, SOX, ISO, HSE and inventory & freight auditing.(35%) Monitoring/Maintenance:- Build and iimprove relevant Logistics performance metrics.- Manage incidents and perform CAPA''s.- Monitor and reduce customer backorders and logistics backlog.- Identify constraints, risks & opportunities in the Logistics network.- Deliver customer order/delivery information to internal stakeholders and customers.- Monitor and achieve sustainability goals.- Manage own P&L, freight spend and drive down Cost-To-Serve(20%) Complexity & Team management:- Requires initiative to independently interpret business direction, understand capital constraints and help create trust and alignment between the business and functions around priorities of initiatives.- Implement Business Process Management for transport flows and warehouse processes.- Significant cross-functional interaction.- Financial acumen.- Ability to articulate, communicate and influence stakeholders.- Develop and manage an international team capable of handling future business needs through continuous improvement initiatives, including systems and support elements.- Manage, coach and develop a productive and motivated team to be able to achieve team, functional and business objectives.- Manage and take responsibility for team development to increase personal contributions to the business.- Foster an organization that supports our cultural pillars of care, courage, and collaboration.- Lead a team that provides a coaching environment and fosters strategic thinking, business acumen, team success and focus on results. Education:Degree in Logistics, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.Experience:10+ Years of Logistics experience in AMERICAS, working both domestically and internationally, with proven warehouse management, freight forwarding and parcel/express experience.
