Database Admin Manager

This manager will manage and lead the database transformation and be a hands on manager. This team will work on automation and support of cloud native data platforms. This manager needs hands on experience with rational data basics and emerging cloud platforms. This includes RDS, PostgreSQL, Aurora, MongoDB and much moreResponsibilities:Partner with Enterprise Architecture, IT strategy and Development teams on cloud database strategy, roadmap, design and implementation standardsEvaluate emerging database technologies and recommend solutionsCertify, automate, build and support cloud native data platformsParticipate in design reviews of architecture patterns for database deployment in cloudProvide database design and consultancy support to applications migrating to cloudLead automation initiatives for database functions in accordance with CI/CD standardsProvide leadership with excellent people management and inter-personal skillsManage team of Database Engineers and provide thought leadershipLead effort of design, automate, document, test and implement database solutionsLead projects on hardware and software technology upgradesReview performance, capacity, workload and take actionsProactively work on database enhancements to improve system performance and stabilityTroubleshoot production problems and work with incident management on root cause analysisCreate & document standard operating procedures & best practicesUse JIRA / Confluence tools for workload management and reportingYou will support the Engineering and Enterprise functions and lead projects and internal teams, engage with senior leaders and management to discuss database issues and document or explain technical solutions in an effective manner.Qualifications:12+ years of proven database engineering and architect experience with databasesBachelor''s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferredHands on experience with relational databases and emerging cloud platforms such as RDS, PostgreSQL, Aurora, MongoDB and much moreExperience in management, lead engineering teamsExcellent leadership & communications skills, leading projects and leading technical teams with aspect of people managementDemonstrable experience working with high availability, disaster recovery and performance tuning - provided by Dice
