MITRE''s Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Program is seeking an experienced engineer who can deliver technology protection expertise to the MDA Sponsor. The MDA Technology Protection Team ensures reliable and effective Anti-Tamper (AT) measures are affordably integrated into weapon systems exposed to reverse engineering opportunities such as battlefield loss and foreign military sales. We seek an experienced technical leader and a critical thinker with deep technical skills and a demonstrated track record of fostering, promoting, and fielding innovative ideas and solutions. The job is a Principal Electrical Engineer Step, preferably Huntsville, AL-based, position; this work location is required to effectively foster sponsor relationships and shape the work program. Job Responsibilities: * Work in concert the MDA government Sponsor, you will act as a technical advisor and lead a member of the MDA Anti-Tamper Evaluation Team (ATET).* Identify and definitize reverse engineering targets, provisos, and the drivers for Technology Protection designs.* Evaluate Anti-Tamper Objective Evidence.* Conduct AT engineering analysis and provide guidance to support the MDA Anti-Tamper Technical Agent (ATTA) and decision-makers.* Provide technical recommendations to government and contractor system and embedded security engineers.* Maintain technical and engineering expertise within the current technology protection domain by engaging with other services and agency''s technology protection subject matter experts and training. Minimum Qualifications: * Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor''s Engineering degree; or 8 years and a Master''s degree; or a PhD with 5 years'' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.* Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances. This position requires a minimum Top Secret. Required Qualifications: * BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security Engineering, or related technical degree.* Current TS and an ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance access.* Experience in one or more of the following: signal analysis, electronics design, FPGA design, integrated circuit design, or electromagnetic interference analysis.* Experience in one or more of the following: reverse engineering, vulnerability research, implant development, exploit development, technology security testing, technology security research, or technology security design evaluation.* Excellent written and verbal communications skills. PreferredQualifications: * MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security Engineering, or related technical degree and with at least 10 years of experience.* Current TS/SCI.* Experience with heterogenous integrated circuit integration, advanced integrated circuit packaging, or three-dimensional integrated circuits (3DIC).* Systems Engineering process and Integration Experience.* Experience with hardware component verification and validation or testing.* Familiarity with Anti-Tamper Technology, Techniques, Processes, and Export Control Policy.* Experience in reverse engineering, materiel exploitation, or side-channel analysis.* Anti-tamper training or certification(s) This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s): This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s): Salary compensation range and midpoint:$154,500 - $193,000 - $232,000 Annual Subject to all federal and state laws, rules and regulations, MITRE requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
