Data Scientist (2022-0145) with Security Clearance

We are actively hiring a Data Scientist to join our Mission Technology Division working in Chantilly, VA. RESPONSIBILITIES * Apply data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction models. * Obtain data through advanced computerized models, extrapolate data patterns through advanced algorithms, develop graphs and charts to explain how the information will influence the specific project or business, and present to managers how to best alter their business models to generate future trends, and discovering patterns and previously hidden insights. * Apply a broad domain expertise to comprehend data origins and context in order to ensure consistency of data, merge data sources together, and help others to gain a better comprehension of data. REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE * Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph * 1+ years'' experience in the data science or analytics field * Experience in working with machine learning, data mining, statistics, and algorithms * Experience with the analysis of data and creation of data-driven visualizations * Ability to create reports and present findings based on statistical analysis * Ability to develop persistent monitoring applications for statistical or machine learning processes using SQL, R, Python, SAS, or SPSS * Experience with data mining (cleaning and combining datasets using pandas) * Experience with data visualization (e.g. matplotlib, seaborn, Tableau) * Experience with statistical analysis (e.g. chi squared test, other hypothesis tests) * Experience with predictive analytics/machine learning (random forest, logistic regression, experience with scikit-learn) * Great communications skills * BA or BS degree in CS or related field preferred PREFERRED SKILLS * Experience with Tableau, certification desired * Certificate in business analytics, data mining, or statistical analysis * Experience with Natural Language Processing (keyword extraction, text summarization, latent semantic indexing-LSI, latent dirichlet allocation - LDA) * Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Tools, primarily S3 and EC2 * Experience creating neural networks with python TensorFlow or Keras
