OverviewWestern Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine is seeking a Electronic Health Record Support Analyst. Responsible for providing support and training end users of electronic health record (EHR) software application. Provides trouble shooting in the clinic, office and development area environments. Assists with testing/evaluation of EHR work flows, monitors and maintains providers schedules, and assists with scanning/indexing documents.Responsibilities Provides user support for the EHR adhering to defined work flows and escalating issues following support protocols. Provides user training following the EHR certified guidelines and administers user proficiency tests. Provides testing and evaluation of user work flows. Responsible for creating instructional material for new EHR workflows. Develops and maintains the clinical scheduling system and ensures its accuracy. Responsible for maintaining the clinical schedule templates for all providers. Responsible for auditing and analyzing system generated error/activity reports. Collects, sorts and scans patient documents received from the floor, mail, and fax in-box. Scans resident documents into electronic filing system, and coordinates off-site storage/retrieval. Updates off-site patient record matrix, and coordinates the off-site retrieval as needed for release of information requests. Availability to work occasional overtime on weekends or evenings to complete time sensitive projects. Acquires knowledge for new technology and policy/procedure revisions. All other duties as assigned.QualificationsEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School or equivalent: associates degree desirable. One or more years of clinical experience required. Experience in a training environment desired. Epic and Epic workflows preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft desktop productivity tools. Ability to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to effectively communicate with end-users, responding to their individual styles and needs. Ability to problem solve in all active environments. Ability to provide at the elbow support & training to users of the EHR system. Demonstrates the ability to recognize priorities in organization of workflow.
