SUMMARY As a Registered Nurse - Staff I Dialysis, your ability to maintain high departmental standards ensures the delivery of quality patient care, effective utilization of resources and efficient patient flow throughout the department. STATUS: Full Time LOCATION: St Mary''s Campus DEPARTMENT: Dialysis SCHEDULE: 12 hour shifts ATTRIBUTES One (1) to three (3) years of experience in acute/critical care preferred Hemodialysis experience preferred Reads, writes and speaks English Computer skills required RESPONSIBILITIES Safety Management. Utilize personal protection equipment and work practice controls to prevent/minimize occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials Clinical Management. Perform a wide variety of clinical tasks including but not limited to: vital signs, FSBG, pulse oximetry, oxygen set up, venipunctures/phlebotomy, preparation of IV medications, administration of prescribed IV push and drip medications, set up, priming, testing and management of dialysis equipment; perform basic troubleshooting of dialysis machines Patient Care. Administer medications to patients pre-treatment, intra-treatment and post-treatment based on knowledge and understanding of established principles and precautions; document all patient responses to medications administered according to policy EDUCATION LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED); BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA) Rochester Regional Health is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
