Most recently, we opened a state-of-the-art Ventilator Unit, the only one of the kind in the world!Position Summary:As a member of our Rehab Team, the Physical Therapist provides caring and compassionate services to our residents to include assessment and treatment and initiation of referrals when appropriate and in accordance with department procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an accredited programSuccessful completion of National Certification Examination for Registered Physical TherapistCurrent state licensure in MassachusettsAbility to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, equipment and/or residents.Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend or crouch regularlyMust be able to use hands to manipulate tools, equipment, or controlsMust be able to reach with hands and arms, balance, lift and perform medium to maximum transfer assists with residentsMust have visual and hearing acuity sufficient enough to assess resident safety and ability membersPrimary Responsibilities:Provides Physical Therapy services to residents and initiates referrals when appropriateConduct screenings of residents as directed by the Director of Rehabilitation to determine need for intervention/treatmentEvaluates residents to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation.
