Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced candidate to join the Technology Business Development (TechBD) group with responsibility for supporting strategic business relationships between the various technology organizations, the vendor community, and the front office of the Firm?s business. This role will include researching, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting content focused on market trends.The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director responsible for Enterprise Technologies. The candidate will also be working closely with the other Sector teams within TechBD and across technology divisions. This role will entail very close working relationships with leaders throughout the Firm and external community. Technology Business Development identifies and supports the creation of strong relationships between the various technology organizations and the business/front office divisions of the bank. The role entails significant elements of market insights, relationship development, strategy development, and technical particular, the primary elements of the role include:Analysis/ ResearchConduct extensive research on a specific technology sector/theme or industry trend.Create commentary/Insights into trends or technology that are shaping marketsAnalyze market, industry, product comparison and technology trends and provide view on findings.Create vendor/product landscapesDeliver tables, graphs, and reports in support of key research and findingsCollect, filter, consolidate, and articulate insights from internal IT executives as well as external companies/partners to enrich findings to develop a consolidated view of MS IT?s views as well as highlighting up and coming technology companies.Distill and disseminate information to be shared with Firm executivesCreate collateral/documentation on companies to be shared with internal teamsPrepare briefing documents for technology vendor meetingsLeverage internal tools to share contentProgram / Project ManagementDevelop best practices to foster, manage, and track key projects as well as client eventsTrack use-cases, vendor relationships and company updates including POC/RFPA hallmark of Morgan Stanley''s presence in the industry is its conferences and events for the technology sector. TechBD in partnership, with our Technology organization, Business Partners, and Technology Banking is responsible for several MS-branded technology conferencesRequired Skills:At least 6-8 years of experience in Enterprise IT, Technology Company, Financial Services, or Consulting.Experience developing software as part of a modern team using agile, DevOps, and SRE practicesAwareness and familiarity of industry trends and key vendors.Familiarity with the open source ecosystem, modern packaging platforms, and dev toolsExperience with common ITSM practices and observability toolingUnderstanding of cloud-based development practices and toolingAbility to condense large amounts of technical or general information into concise digests. Ability to understand Enterprise IT drivers, priorities, and issues, industry trends, and vendor product portfolios.Strong writing skills and ability to generate and present materials for senior leadership.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients, partners, business leaders, peers, and executivesStrong communication skills with ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
