CommunityCare Hazleton''s ExpressCare urgent care clinic, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its growing team in their new clinic. Experienced is preferred or a new advanced practitioner graduate will be considered. A new graduate will participate in robust onboarding at our CommunityCare Express Kistler clinic in Wilkes Barre. Job Duties The CommunityCare Hazleton clinic qualifies for the *NHSC Loan Repayment Program which is the National Health Service Corps which is up to $50,000 for a two-year initial term. ExpressCare urgent care clinics allow our patients to ''save their spot'' to avoid wait times and check in online. The clinicians diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. They also provide routine health exams, immunizations, screenings and wellness services. Some clinics may also include X-ray, EKG, IV hydration, and phlebotomy.Advanced Practitioners must be able to treat patients from age one to adults. Advanced Practitioners receive the following benefits: $10,000 Recruitment Forgivable Loan - a two-year work commitment Comprehensive medical/retirement benefits starting the first day of employment Paid malpractice insurance Relocation assistance for qualified candidates CME funds ($2,500/year) and paid 10 CME days/year The ideal Hazleton ExpressCare candidates will: Take responsibility and ownership of their site Possess strong interpersonal skills Be self-motivated Have excellent prioritizing and multi-tasking abilities Have urgent care experience and the ability perform procedures such as suturing and splinting EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Six months of primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care or critical care experience is preferred. A new graduate advanced practitioner graduate will be considered. The new graduate will participate in robust onboarding at our CommunityCare Express Kistler clinic in Wilkes Barre. Work Schedule: Rotations of weekends and some holidays required (Work 7 out of 14 days)"‹ Clinic hours: Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 8PM Saturday , Sunday 8:00AM - 6:00PM Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish are encouraged to apply.
