Job OverviewJob OverviewSenior Engineer Hot Product InnovationPosition is based in: Burlington, MA (preferred) Frisco, TX Chicago, IL Relocation assistance is available.SUMMARY: The Hot Product Innovation Senior Engineer is responsible for leading all aspects of new product development, to include processing development, processing equipment selection, and authoring specifications for both product and processing systems. Additionally, this role includes responsibility for research into novel processing technologies and scale-up/commercialization of those technologies. As part of the KDP Innovation Team, the Senior Engineers provide high level strategic direction for the companys beverage growth while also leading improvements in manufacturing, quality, cost, and safety. This position partners closely with internal cross functional teams such as project management, quality, marketing, safety, environmental and operations resources, and external partners. This position requires strong skills in critical thinking, collaboration, consumer insights, and the ability to positively influence project direction. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : None ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Defining product and processing specifications Strategic planning for product development and processing Vendor evaluation, selection and management Development of benchtop, pilot and commercial scale experimental designs and qualifications Improvements to existing processes, specifically processing equipment Generation of process flow diagrams Creation of business proposals to demonstrate and evaluate various project options Provide technical support for commissioning, qualification and verification (CQV) processes Utilize statistical data analysis for data driven decision making OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS : Follow all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by KDP and the department Performs other duties as requested by management IND1RequirementsB.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 7+ years of experience, advanced degrees preferred including M.S. with 5+ years of experience or Ph.D. with 2-4 years of experience. Knowledge and experience with bulk solids and material handling, mechanical conveying, pneumatic conveying and/or tableting/compaction highly preferred Knowledge and experience in coffee processing within the food and beverage industry a plus. Knowledge and experience in preparation of Process Flow Diagrams. Knowledge and experience in modeling unit operation processes. Demonstrated experience with taking an idea or concept all the way to market. Knowledge of design requirements related to food safety, including SQF, FDA, GMP Hands-on experience with process development, startup and commissioning Excellent communication skills Must be very organized and able to manage multiple project activities/priorities Ability to travel as required Ability to work a flexible schedule Ability to work in a team environment Positive attitude with ability to work a fast-paced, high-growth environment Excellent MS Office skills OTHER REQUIREMENTS : Moderate travel required (up to 50%) Company OverviewKeurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is a leading coffee and beverage company in North America with dual headquarters in Burlington, MA and Plano, TX, with annual revenue in excess of $11 billion.
