As a Systems Engineering Lead at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) program leads at our Rolling Meadows / Arlington Heights, IL location. The selected candidates will report to the SEIT Department in the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) Department.What You''ll get to Do:Oversee the daily engineering activities of the program engineering team ensuring adherence to the integrated master schedule. Particular emphasis on systems engineering and integration and test is requiredManage multi-disciplinary Integrated Program TeamsFunction as the primary technical interface to customer technical teamsPlan new programs through creation of a work breakdown structure and associated budgets driving a solid systems engineering process from start to finishHelp establish the Control Account Management (CAM) structure for engineering. Includes CAM responsibilities for the SEIT leadManage earned value on a periodic basis as determined for that programSupport the program manager in planning and executing the program on a weekly basisFamiliarity with other disciplines (software, hardware, modeling and simulation) considered a plusExperience with DOORS, Model Based System Engineering creations of system and sub-system level specifications, systems engineering management plans a plusBasic Qualifications for a Systems Engineering Lead:BS degree in Software or Hardware Engineering, or related technical degree with 9+ years of related experience or MS degree in Software or Hardware Engineering, or related technical degree with 7+ years related experienceStrong track record of managing and executing technical development programs on schedule and within budgetStrong understanding of other related disciplines in Engineering working in an integrated product team (IPT) environmentSolid systems engineering approach with demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsGood working knowledge of and experience in systems integration, test and qualificationMust be able to obtain Interim Secret Clearance prior to start. Once started, must be able to obtain and maintain Secret ClearancePreferred Qualifications:Working knowledge of one of more of the following specialty areas for integration and test related to EOIR systems, optics, detection and trackingAirborne threat detection and defeat or related experience with IR sensing systemsExperience in development and earned value management of cost accounts and schedules as related to Systems Engineering tasksExperience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) concepts and tools (Rhapsody)Working knowledge of DOORS and ClearCase/ClearQuestAgile development experience a plusAbility and willingness to travel 25¬tive Top Secret Clearance is preferredSalary Range: $120,000 USD - $180,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
