This position will support the FSO with managing, administering and oversight of the company DOD industrial security program and other security activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) will process and review personnel security clearances and maintain all security documentation, files, and clearance and suitability rosters in accordance with government requirements. The AFSO will have an understanding of the NISPOM and general security requirements for DOD and other Federal agencies. Responsibilities include: * Administrate personnel security clearance processes to include coordinating initial clearance submissions and periodic reinvestigations with employees, providing guidance and instruction to employees to ensure completion of security paperwork, collection of ink and electronic fingerprinting of initial clearance candidates, and providing follow-up clearance report status on processed clearances to managers for specific contracts.* Maintain all security documentation and files in accordance with DCSA requirements.* Provide Federal Agency or component personnel suitability processing support and coordination* Provide and document new employee security briefings, exit interviews and debriefing, investigate and report security violations and incidents* Maintain classified holdings and prepare classified transmittals in accordance with NISPOM guidelines and requirements* Develop and manage annual refresher training to include preparing necessary documentation in support of the annual DCSA audit.* Provide security support to the FSO* Advise personnel of their reporting requirements, both personal/administrative and compliance/incident-related reports* Maintain a working relationship with DCSA or other Federal Agencies and each contract''s security office for processing and maintaining employee clearances or suitability determinations.Required Qualifications: * Bachelor''s degree (Business Administration, Management or a related field) or a combination of education and equivalent experience* Minimum of 3 years'' experience in security field.* Knowledge of the NISPOM.* Understanding of the government security community and information assurance processes.* Ability to in-process +200 new employees and Independent Contractors including orientation for company policies and clearance application submissions for non-cleared employees.* Provide employees with Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) responsibility guidance as a part of their access indoctrination(s) and debriefs.* Experience with protection requirements for handling and safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII).* Ability to use DISS for visits (incoming and outgoing) and maintaining personnel security records.* Experience with NCAISS, NISS, SWFT, DISS, ACCS.* Communicate effectively with the Facility Security Officer (FSO) to ensure compliance with NISPOM requirements* Must maintain a Top Security Clearance.Nothing in this job description restricts management''s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
