Responsibilities Noblis MSD''s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is seeking a Electrical Engineering Technician to support U.S. Navy Submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) programs. You will provide engineering and technical assistance support to the Navy out of San Diego, CA. The Electrical Engineering Technician will support U.S. Navy Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) programs. The candidate''s roles and responsibilities will include: * Provide support inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical power distribution, generation, protection and monitoring/control systems onboard DDG 51 class hulls. * Support System Operational and Verification Testing (SOVT) during ship availabilities, or any time a modification is made to electrical power generation, distribution, or protection systems onboard DDG 51 Class hulls, in order to validate full system performance and operation. * Assist in the performance of procedures for testing and checkout of installed systems, including system circuit tests and system operability tests. * Provide support to resolve regular and emergent DDG 51 Class shipboard electrical system/equipment issues. Duties may include replication of the issue(s) in a land-based test facility and validating potential resolutions. Shipboard support could be required to assist Ship''s Force and Regional Maintenance Centers with the determination of the root cause. * Review performance specifications, requirements, component drawings, and installation drawings for DDG 51 Class electrical power generation, distribution, protection, and monitoring systems. Qualifications The Electrical Engineering Technician will have * Bachelors degree in a technical field, engineering prefered. Will consider a high school/GED or trade school graduate with 6 years of military experience which provided an in-depth knowledge of naval shipboard systems maintenance and operation. * Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain a secret clearance required * Two years'' experience providing subject matter expert field service support for U.S. Navy electrical generation, electrical distribution, or electrical control equipment/governors. Desired skills and knowledge: * Experience in the operation, maintenance, testing and repair of HM&E equipment installed on U.S. Navy surface ships or submarines. * Prior Navy Electronics Technician or Electrician experience preferred. * Ability to interpret/analyze technical data and schematics. * Excellent communications skills a must. * Ability to interact with multiple navy activities and effectively communicate technical information with all levels of personnel both military and civilian. electrical technicion, navy, electrical engineering, hull, mechanical, electrical, san diego, electronics, schematics Client Engagement • Begin developing relationships one level up and two levels down.
