Application SW Engineer with Security Clearance

We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as an ApplicationSoftware Engineerto provide support to the Kessel Run Division, which is within the USAF Digital Directorate, and based out of Hanscom AFB, MA. Essential Duties: Advise and support work that involves the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing applications software in a USAF Program Management Office. The functions required to be performed by individuals assigned to this specialty may include but are not limited to: * Analyzing and refining systems requirements* Translating systems requirements into applications prototypes* Planning and designing systems architecture* Determining and designing applications architecture* Determining output media/formats* Designing user interfaces* Working with customers to test applications* Ensuring software and systems quality and functionality* Integrating hardware and software components* Writing and maintaining program documentation* Evaluating new applications software technologies; and/or ensuring the rigorous application of information security/ cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services* Supporting implementation and execution of Agile software execution in concert with Government and Prime contractors.* Additional duties as assigned.Required Qualifications: * 0-5 years of experience in relevant role* Bachelors DegreePreferred Qualifications: * Possess a wide breadth of knowledge in modern software delivery techniques such as Agile and DevSecOps.* Ability to evaluate contractor approaches to software development for USAF systems development.* Experience collaborating in a distributed team environment to develop and deliver both prototype and production software.* Experience working with Agile practices and frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).* Ability to identify process improvements, act as an Agile Change Agent, and leverage Agile metrics for program and product improvement.* Experience delivering production software to commercial or defense industry customers.* Experience with safety critical systems and how to apply Agile practices for real time improvement.* Understanding of DevSecOps concepts and how to implement concepts in a project.* Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment toolchains and cloud platforms to automate the software development lifecycle.* Facilitate the continuous improvement of software development and deployment workflows.* Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration.* Experience developing software prototypes and/or production software that spans the full tech stack, from the front-end to the back-end.* Understand industry standard software design patterns and best practices.* Possess basic understanding of computer hardware architecture and its effect on system design and performance.* Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking.* Previous DoD program acquisition experience is desired.Required Clearance:Ability to Obtain a Clearance.
