Area Air Logistics Pricing Specialist

This is an excellent opportunity to join our Air Logistics team.Your RoleAs a member of Regional Air Logistics Pricing team, you will provide, collecting, and validating Air Logistics rates for global and local client tenders, and spot quotes, concerning Central region efforts. You will report to the National Air Logistics Pricing Manager.Your ResponsibilitiesYou will maintain airfreight rate, trucking rate and handling costs databases and market intelligence within the Central area together with area and national air logistics management and gateway managementYou are a liaise and work with Global/Regional Airfreight Pricing network and Global/Regional Key Account Managers (G/R/OKAMs) on assigned global/local pricing requestsComplete requests per US pricing strategies under the guidance of US Pricing ManagementYou will manage and compile area collection of local origin and destination and airport to airportDistribute feedback and provide consultation to/from department and sales on client pricing strategy, formats, requirements, supporting data and market intelligenceSupport National and Regional Airfreight activities and directed by managementPrepare structured, professional tenders that are tailored to the requirements of the customer and their respective industryTrack activity, win and loss of global/regional pricing requests (tender + spot)Quote, analyze and manage pricing for air import/export customers using software-driven solutionsMaintain existing business and create new clienteleDevelop relationships with carriers, clients (external and internal) and teammatesProvide spot quote pricing for singular shipmentsYour Skills and ExperiencesBachelor''s degree in Logistics/Forwarding or another related field3+ years of pricing and/or freight forwarding experience (air export experience a bonus)You have knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major citiesYou have advanced working knowledge of MS office, Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables )Good Reasons to JoinWe offer a great compensation package, medical, dental and retirement benefits package, employee discounts, tuition reimbursement, excellent training programs, and a dynamic global work environment.At Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to Inspire, Empower and Deliver not only to our customers but collages.Kuehne + Nagel is an equal employment/affirmative action employer.
