JAC assists these Judicial-Related Offices with the States accounting, budget, financial services, and human resources platforms. JAC also reviews and processes bills from private court-appointed attorneys and associated due process services vendors (e.g., court reporters, interpreters, investigators, and expert witnesses) representing indigent individuals throughout Florida and ensures their compliance with Florida Statutes and JACs Contracts. However, JAC is not part of the State Personnel System. Pay : The salary range for the selected candidate is $55,000$70,000 annually, depending on qualifications. Total Compensation Statement: Your Benefits are a significant part of your state compensation. The total compensation package could be anywhere from $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. The total compensation package includes annual salary, insurance, retirement, leave, and holidays. The Work You Will Do: The Business Process Analyst will act as a liaison between the Information Technology (IT) section and other sections of JAC to understand the established business processes and recommend solutions leveraging Information Technology (IT) Systems, with the goal of solving business challenges and improving performance. The Business Process Analyst will gather and document user requirements, recommend solutions, and provide support and training to various sections of JAC. Essential Job Functions Gathers business requirements, documents users needs, and analyzes business processes; recommends changes and facilitates communication between various sections of JAC. Understands the agencys long-term strategic goals/objectives and assists in planning to achieve these goals. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of JAC IT systems and applications, and demonstrates a clear understanding of their functions and how they interact with each other to identify additional opportunities. Serves as the main point of contact for issues related to Laserfiche, an electronic document management system used by JAC. Assists sections with defining functional and technical requirements when developing new solutions to ensure the software solves the business problem and integrates with existing systems. Collaborates with IT management, JAC Management, and IT staff to develop standards and process improvement efforts and assist with developing implementation timelines for projects. Maintains list of tasks, task owner, due date, and any applicable notes. Ensures tasks are completed on-time. Works with JAC sections to coordinate application training to improve productivity. Utilizes Six Sigma principles and tools to reduce waste and improve processes. Education and Experience Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university. Must have at least four (4) years of experience in business analysis, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. Six Sigma certification is preferable; otherwise training will be provided at JAC. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of and experience in defining business processes for technical solutions (business process mapping and flow charting) in a simple and clear format. Knowledge of formal project management principles. Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and tools. Skill in effectively coordinating and prioritizing multiple projects. Skill in influence and persuasion with ability to convince others to maintain standards in technology, process, and policies. Ability to build cordial and professional relationships with JAC employees. Ability to extract information from individuals and accurately document collected information. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, about technical subjects to non-technical users in a way they can easily understand. Ability to listen effectively and use investigative skills to uncover information that may not be explicitly stated. Strong technical analysis and technical learning aptitude with ability to formulate a technical solution approach to a business need given goals, objectives, and requirements. Ability to create and deliver presentations on topics such as process changes, project status, impact analysis, and strategic planning.
