LifeSouthCommunity Blood Centers is currently seeking an individual to join our team asa District QualityAssurance Coordinator in Gainesville, FL. This position is responsible for participatingin the coordination a system-wide compliance program to ensure the manufactureof safe, pure and potent blood products. The position''s level is based on thesize of the assigned district.Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to: - Perform all assigned duties in compliance with standard operating procedures;Bring compliance issues to the attention of management- Serve asliaison between Corporate Quality Assurance and District Operations- Ensure districtquality record keeping systems are maintained in accordance with documentcontrol policies- Conductsystem-wide internal assessments, including record review, process and systemaudits to monitor regional compliance with LifeSouth policies and procedures; Communicateaudit findings to District Operations- Train managers,supervisors, team leaders and team supervisors in quality control record review- Assist withmanaging non-conforming events in the assigned district, including deviationsand issues/complaints; Collaborate with management to determine root cause andcorrective action and complete detailed and thorough documentation ofinvestigation- Assistmanagement with or facilitate/lead improvement initiatives- Analyze data toidentify problems and trends, perform root cause analysis and assist withcorrective action plans- Assist with theimplementation of new technology, operational process changes, and change ingeneral, including post-implementation assessment to verify systems remain incontrol- Assist withcompletion of and monitor for completion of equipment validation plans- Assist with orperform annual and semi-annual equipment quality control- Coordinateactivities associated with external inspections, audits, and assessments; Assistin the development of responses to regulatory observations- Attendregional, district and corporate management meetings and training workshops asneeded- Perform allother duties assigned at the discretion of management- Ability and willingnessto travel is essential to this positionMinimumQualifications: - High school diploma - Basic computer skills and knowledge of computer programs such as MS Office(Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)- Ability to workin a variety of physical environments - Ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments concurrently- Ability toeffectively participate in a stress-filled and time-critical team environment- Ability totrain coworkers to perform a task- Work withconfidential records and maintain confidentiality of these materials- Fill out andmaintain records in accordance with compliance and regulatory standards- Knowledge andexperience with electronic or mechanical equipmentThe ideal candidatewill possess: - Associate''s or Bachelor''s degree- Previous bloodbanking experienceCompetitiveBenefits Package:- Generous PaidTime Off (PTO) plan- Health, dental,vision, supplemental life, cancer, accident and disability insurance- Health SavingsAccount (HSA) with employer match- Retirement plan- Wellnessprogram with incentives and HSA rewards This is a full time position. Starting salary range is $18.75 - $20.63 an hour.Background check and drug test required.
