Position TitleFinancial Analyst IV Work LocationQuantico, VA - Government Site Position DescriptionThe Financial Analyst will provide a variety of services with focus on financial management, analysis, auditing, and accountability to support the Marine Corps Program Executive Officer Land Systems'' (PEO LS). They will be responsible for completing required actions in support of Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR). FIAR supports the Department of the Navy''s Audit Readiness initiative, with the long-term goal of improving financial processes and systems across the entire Navy, in turn leading to successful financial audit readiness. The focus of effort is an audit function which is a legal requirement and process that begins with operations and ends with the financial statements'' transaction. The audit function involves the testing of the operations, recording, and reporting of each financial transaction reported on the Marine Corps financial records associated with PEO LS programs. They will be responsible for supporting the development and continued process improvement of established processes supporting successful financial audit readiness. ResponsibilitiesProviding financial management, analysis, auditing, and accountability support to PEO LS and its Program OfficesPrepare budget graphs, metrics, spreadsheets, analytical reports, and upload information onto designated SharePoint portalDeveloping and maintaining metric analysisSupporting efforts for the Manager''s Internal Control Program to include process documentation, risk identification, development, implementation, and testing of the internal control environment to meet the requirements as detailed under the OMB Circular A-123 - Management of Reporting and Data Integrity Risk and A-136 - Financial Reporting RequirementsMonitoring transactional data recorded in the accounting, financial, logistics and budgeting systems to ensure correct recording of information within the timeframe prescribed by policy, statutes, and federal regulationsRecommend corrective actions to accounting records supported by key supporting documentsSupporting the recondition of daily transaction reports to source documentsAssisting the research, collection, review and source documentation packages to support auditProviding technical analysis of supporting documents in response to requests for documents from Deputy to the Commander for Resource Management, Internal Control Division Education/ExperienceBachelor''s degree and ten (10) years minimum experience (OR fifteen (15) years of direct experience) in a financial management capacity with a Department of Defense contractor (Preferably supporting the United States Marine Corps)Experience in auditing, procurement and contracts, project controls, and DoD (Marine Corps preferred) processes and systemsWorking knowledge of OMB Circular A-123 - Management of Reporting and Data Integrity Risk and A-136 - Financial Reporting RequirementsMust be detail and process-oriented and possess a high degree of organization and proven time-management skills Ability to successfully complete responsibilities and tasks with minimum direct oversightAble to provide a systematic and independent examination of the assigned processes/approaches and provide clear analysis, findings, and recommendationsProficiency with all Microsoft Office Tools including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel and SharePoint Reports ToGovernment Financial Manager - PEO LS Security Clearance RequirementsThis position requires an active SECRET security clearance Benefits & CompensationNew employees are eligible to participate in the company''s benefits plan on their day of hire unless noted otherwise.
