Come where you can flourish !St. Francis Rehabilitation Center - Main Street Village Location, has an immediate opening for a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant and potential to grow into a full-time position.What sets our Columbus, Georgia location apart? 5 clinicians with wide-ranging expertise who collaborate, challenge, and learn from each other All three disciplines (PT, OT, and ST) are offered in this clinic One on one treatment sessions focusing on patient care and education Strong focus on patients with Neurological diagnoses (CVA, Parkinson''s, MS, ALS), orthopedics, balance, and vestibular diagnoses. Family oriented and team atmosphere Opportunities for growth - currently, all three disciplines operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the potential to increase to all days of the week. All this, and only a short drive to the mountains or the beach!To learn more about Columbus, GA visit Responsibilities Instructs, motivates, and assists patients to learn and improve functional activities. Timely documentation Observes patients during treatments and compiles and evaluates data on patients'' responses to treatment and progress and reports orally or in writing to Physical Therapist. Fits patients for, adjusts, and trains patients in use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs. Confers with members of physical therapy staff and other health team members, individually and in conference, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment programs. Gives orientation to new Physical Therapist Assistants and directs and gives instructions to Physical Therapy Technicians Qualifications Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, licensed or eligible and willing to get licensure in Georgia One or more years of licensed outpatient orthopedic experience Strong manual therapy skills Desire to be a part of team that emphasizes a service-based culture of excellence and life-long learning Truly enjoys the work of helping others in an environment that is fun and rewarding EEO
