Overview **This position is contingent upon contract award** SOSi is seeking an Intermediate VSAT Field Service Representative (Team Lead) to add to its team in support of the United States Army. This position is located in Rock Island, IL. The VSAT FSR will provide the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of deployed systems across the globe to ensure system deployment, readiness, and up-time. Responsibilities * Perform preventative maintenance checks and services of all customer VSAT systems worldwide.* Designs, develops, tests, and evaluates networks or network infrastructure and applies knowledge of IA policies and controls.* Performs analyses of system operations.* Conduct fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components or cable infrastructure.* Perform routine system maintenance and analysis functions to include hardware configurations; adding, removing, and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic tools; and cable infrastructure installation and maintenance.* Monitor all currently deployed customer systems and their connectivity status.* Test data VOIP, SVOIP, SVTC, and VTC operations.* Assist in the deployment of each system locally as scheduled to test capabilities.* Assist the logistician with updating the current inventory list of all customer assigned equipment worldwide.* Attend appropriate engineering and customer meetings. Qualifications * Associates Degree.* 5 years of experience with Telecommunications Systems to include system operations, engineering, design, installation, repair, and analysis.* Current in-scope Secret Clearance.* DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (Security+ CE, GSEC, CCNA-Security, SSCP). Preferred Qualifications * Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field.* Current in-scope Top Secret Clearance* 7 years of experience with Telecommunications Systems to include system operations, engineering, design, installation, repair, and analysis.* CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, Windows 2012 Server, or Windows 10 certification.* Experience with VSAT terminals, iDirect, Active Directory, Cisco Switches and Routers.* Experience in deployed conditions.* Fluency in a foreign language desired. Working Conditions * Work environment includes office and warehouse work and the occasional need to support forklift operations.* Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as needed to support maintenance of deployed systems.
