ResponsibilitiesPosition Overview: Directs nursing and clinical support service operations and is responsible and accountable for the provision of high quality, cost effective care and services for all residents in the Continuing Care Center. Monitors compliance to comprehensive regulations. Leads staff in a manner that creates a positive, safe and growth oriented environment. Maintains high visibility within the community and within professional networks. May manage one or more supervisors(s) that assist in the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the units(s). Demonstrates strong knowledge of all state and federal regulations and recommendations, as well as comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices and techniques.Supervisory Responsibilities:Director will manage one or more subordinate manager/supervisor, who manages/supervises a total of 50 70 RN and C.N.A. employees in the CCC. Director is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.QualificationsRequired: Current CA RN License. Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN). Five (5) years progressive nurse management and clinical experience in both an acute care and skilled nursing setting. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.Preferred: Valid California Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) License Two (2) year of experience as a Director of Nursing in a Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing setting.OverviewCommunity Memorial Health System is a community-owned, not-for-profit organization that consists of two hospitals and 15+ community clinics including family-practice, urgent care, our residency program, and several specialties within Ventura County. The center provides high-level, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services daily for patients and residents with a variety of needs and conditions who require an inpatient treatment program with oversight provided by a medical director.
