Cyber Systems Architect

ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking a Systems Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will become part of Peratons Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Peratons DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Diplomatic Security Cyber Operations. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peratons DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges. This position requires an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. This position is located in Rosslyn, VA. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead team within Technical Outreach Security Services (TOSS) and Security Change Management (SCM) Provide management of Configuration Standards Library Review and adjudicate formal requests for deviations to security configuration standards Manage and monitor External Distribution List approvals for Security Configuration Standards and Principle documents reviews and final approvals Provide technical expertise and customer perspective on policy changes to DOS policy working groups Facilitate the adoption of cyber and technological security solutions developed by CTS Coordinate Enterprise-wide Common Control Documentation and provide technical expertise as needed to Department partners on proper implementation of NIST Common Controls Provide technical responses and recommendations to ASKCTS Support Requests DSCM2022 QualificationsTo be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: A Bachelor of Science degree and 9 years of experience is required (7 years of experience with a Masters). In lieu of a Bachelor''s degree, 4 years of additional experience may be substituted Possess CASP+ CE, CySA+, Security+ CE, GSEC, CCNA Security, or similar certification Active Top Secret security clearance is required with the ability to obtain SCI Has skills and expertise to design and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems and determine systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security Proven ability to develop and recommend corrective actions. Proficient in providing technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.
