Responsible for performing duties to operate, maintain, and repair as needed, to respond to all anticipated emergencies and keep all necessary records for all refrigeration, electrical, automatic sprinkler, (fire) hot water, compressed air and fire systems, handling equipment and building/grounds in compliance with warehouse needs to ensure maximum operating efficiency, minimal down time, and conformity with all company, state and federal health and safety rules. Responsibilities Maintenance personnel daily requirements: Responsible for any routine maintenance tasks as directed by Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor or Facility Management.Responsible for any routine operational tasks as directed by Chief Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor or Facility Management.Responsible for general housekeeping of all maintenance areas including refrigeration system and as directed by the Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor or Facility Management.Responsible for routine inspections of all equipment including but not limited to Building, Handling Equipment. To be able to take readings (Log Keeping) of compressors, evaporators, and receivers.Responsible for limited use of computer control system for the refrigeration equipment.Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education: High School Degree or equivalent.Experience: Skilled in areas of Building, Handling Equipment, and Refrigeration System maintenance and operations (such as basic electrical, control, values, maintenance and basic hand tools).Specialized Knowledge: In Refrigerated system operations and maintenance procedures.Special Skills: Competent to perform safe emergency shut-downs of refrigeration system, new equipment start ups as direct by Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, Maintenance Supervisor, or Facility Manager.Other: Pulmonary function test must be successfully passed in order to qualify for use of breathing apparatus BNA-04 WS-04 Schedule Shift start: 7:30AM Shift length: 8 hours Monday-Friday, some weekends and overtime as needed.
