Quality Technician | $19/hr | First Shift | Florence, KYResponsibilities:Perform Incoming Inspection of purchased parts.Identify and record supplier quality problems. Verify the implementation of solutions. Control and isolate the processing and delivery of nonconforming products until corrected.Provide technical assistance and recommendations for suppliers regarding the application, testing, and/or measurement.Perform periodic audits of inventoried products.Assist in the identification and acquisition of gauges and fixtures required for Quality Assurance to support the needs of the CompanyMaintain familiarity with technical differences of competitive products.Conduct Internal Audits to ensure the company follows the Quality Management System and is in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.Provide training to other employees, as requested.Conduct Supplier Audits as necessary according to the Supplier Management Process.Actively use the 8D/4D corrective action process to solve non-conforming issues.Assist other employees in the accomplishment of their assigned responsibility, as requested.Qualifications/Experience:Associate degree or equivalent training in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering Technology.Minimum one year of practical electronic/electro-mechanical manufacturing and/or quality/engineering laboratory experience required. Some mechanical measurement skills required.Experience with SAP and competency with Microsoft Office required. Access, Visual Basic and ASQ Quality Certification a plus.Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels, in both verbal and written form. Daily interaction with Product Managers and Engineers. Written and verbal communications with suppliers/customers.Familiar with general quality tools, measurement and sampling practices. Familiar with established statistical methods used as a tool for process analysis.Ability to operate electronic test equipment and mechanical measuring devices. Ability to set priorities, self-manage a routine, and multiple tasks at the same time. Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings.Work Environment & Physical Demands:Will range from sitting for extended periods of time to standing/moving throughout the area all day. Moderate noise level with little fluctuation in temperature. Frequent lifting (in the range of 5-50 lbs.).
