Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

TITLE: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst Location: Edina, MN (Open to Remote) Looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst member! This role offers a candidate the opportunity to play an important part in our company''s software development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure the software runs smoothly and meets quality standards. You will also get to explore new technical areas while also sharpening your existing skills. The ideal candidate will have previous QA experience in evaluating and performing required testing on business applications, process improvements, and new technologies. This position works in collaboration with Agile team in meeting quality objectives and introducing efficiencies and maximizing test coverage. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, execution and validation of test cases based on business needs and ensuring quality standards are achieved. What You''ll Do: * Participate in the improvement and development of documentation of the test processes. * Responsible for the creation, execution and maintenance of manual test cases in all stages of application testing to ensure application code is functioning as designed. * Contribute to developing enhancements of quality standards and procedures. * Responsible for maximizing test coverage and reducing testing time. * Identify test cases as candidates for automation, regression, smoke testing. * Identify and implement QA metrics. * Collaborate with product& development teams and develop plans and estimates for testing projects. * Provide clear and timely communications regarding QA activities, deliverables and related processes across various levels of the organizations. * Report defects/issues with documentation and recommendations for resolution. * Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail, contributing to, and promoting quality. * Approach complex problems and possess ability to break them down into manageable pieces. * Apply creative technical problem solving skills when developing improvements and help implement change as required. * Apply feedback and take ownership of tasks at hand, ability to self-prioritize tasks and execute deliverables within given timeline. Ask for and offer help when needed. * Regular contact with internal customers across the organization. * Some contact with outside customers, including vendors. Skills / Experience You Will Need: * Bachelor''s degree preferred * 4+ years of manual testing experience. * Ability to accurately identify, document, and develop test cases from business requirements is required. * Solid knowledge with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts. * Experience in all stages of application testing including UI, backend, functional, regression, API. * Thorough understanding and experience of applying QA software quality standards, metrics, methodology, and best practices. * Experience working on an Agile team is required. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences. * Jira or similar issue tracking software is preferred. * Experience creating and executing manual test cases. * Experience with SOAPUI and Postman a plus. * Advanced competency and use of various core systems, office and computer equipment and software packages.
