MITRE is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our Cyber Effects and Information Warfare team in San Antonio, TX or Bedford, MA. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate expert knowledge of cloud architectures, cloud computing and DevSecOps development pipelines. Engineering knowledge of Infrastructure Applications, IaaS, PaaS, Cloud Computing, virtual networks, software defined networks and software defined WAN are desired. The engineer will apply critical and diverse thinking, technical depth and analytic expertise with extensive knowledge of DoD and IC practices, systems and processes and plus.Job Responsibilities:Leverage cloud and system engineering principals to fuse technology and intelligence knowledge to produce requirements for technology development and strategic investment planningDevelop expert-level insight on elements of strategic importance to support sponsor objectivesUtilize experience with intelligence databases and tools to gather, manipulate, share and analyze signals and related intelligence in collaboration with team members and government sponsorsCollaborate with senior-level government sponsors and MITRE leadership to successfully execute tasking and delivery of products to achieve timely sponsor outcomesBasic Qualifications:Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor''s degree; or 6 years and a Master''s degree; or a PhD with 3 years'' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.Required Qualifications: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience and expertise with cloud architectures, cloud computing and DevSecOpsAbility to perform system decomposition and detailed analysis of complex cloud infrastructure and systemsA current Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearanceExperience in the preparation of comprehensive written reports, presentations, and charts based on research, collection, and analysis of dataDemonstrated experience in performing complex analytical investigationsPreferredQualifications:Prior working experience with DoD and IC organizations and knowledge of their relationshipsPrior experience with intelligence community or DoD intelligence supportKnowledge of non-kinetic operationsKnowledge of Infrastructure Applications, IaaS, PaaS, Cloud Computing, virtual networks, software defined networks and software defined WANAbility to travel 15% of the time to CONUS and OCONUS locations as necessaryThis requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s): This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s): Subject to all federal and state laws, rules and regulations, MITRE requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
