Lead, Network Infrastructure Architect

TITLE: Lead,Network Infrastructure Architect Location: NYC Our client is looking to hire Lead Network Infrastructure Architect. Our client is the fastest-growing, highest-performing charter school network in New York, their network of 46 K-12 schools outperforms every district in the state, proving irrefutably that all children are capable of excellence. The lead Network Architect is a technical as well as a managerial role. You will support critical business outcomes on this exciting team by designing and managing network infrastructure, connectivity, systems, and hardware. You will rely upon your expert personal organization, IT conceptual methodologies, and technical acumen to lead a diverse team of staff and vendors who share a high bar of excellence, while passionately supporting education reform and working for a growth oriented, mission driven organization. What You''ll Do: * Design and implement short and long term strategic plans to ensure network capacity meets existing and future requirements. * Develop and deploy methodologies for testing network performance and providing network performance statistics and reports. * Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Network Analysts, Network Engineers, Network Administrators, and other Network Architects. * Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of network development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and network flexibility. * Develop, document, recommend, and communicate plans for investing in network technologies, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities. * Participate in the development of network strategies in collaboration with the leadership team. Skills / Experience You Will Need: * IT Management degree preferred. Bachelor''s degree in Computer Technology or related field optional. * 9+ years of experience managing in house and vendor IT teams and systems across multiple locations in a highly technical role. * Professional Certifications: ITIL Expert or equivalent. CCIE Enterprise (Infrastructure and/or Wireless) certifications strongly preferred. AWS or Microsoft certifications welcome. * Previous experience supporting larger diverse teams in geographically disparate areas. * OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT * Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization''s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent network activities. * Collaborate with end users and senior management to define business requirements for complex network development and gain buy-in for all network architecture plans. * Manage and set priorities for the architectural design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all network infrastructures, including LANs, WANs, VMs, Internet, security, and wireless implementations. * About Infinity Consulting Solutions At Infinity Consulting Solutions our mission is to cultivate successful long term relationships with candidates and clients matching the right candidate with the right client.
