Shop Floor Equipment Start-up Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES: Manufacturing and Assembly - understand proper assembly of both mechanical and electrical configurations, complete equipment sign off prior to shipment. Bill of Materials - Must have a good understanding of design and specifications. Ability to provide feedback to Engineering, Sales and Management on inefficiencies or safety concerns. Setup and testing of equipment to ensure proper functionality of equipment prior to shipment. Ability to perform troubleshooting and make necessary repairs. Knowledge of the equipment''s programmed software with ability to identify and correct the machine''s processing with minimal Engineering intervention. Rockwell PLC programming / troubleshooting experience is highly regarded. Document setup or test procedures for new designs or devices. Ensure safety Assure designs, components, and guarding comply with or exceed current global and individual customer standards. Successfully operate in accordance with internal and external EHS guidelines as dictated by your working environment on any given day. Provide support the operations department, including our manufacturing floor. Clarify specifications with and aid in problem resolution for purchasing and manufacturing personnel. Complete assigned projects and tasks within allotted time and cost constraints. Provide customer support Assist customers directly and indirectly when machine operation problems or questions arise. Other duties as assigned. Proficient in English with excellent written and oral communication skills. Walking in a manufacturing setting with multiple stairs and inclines, and/or, sitting for long periods of time in performing work Ability to bend, stretch, twist and move about freely while working on equipment Electrical and Mechanical operation of machinery including installed software. Ability to read and understand Engineering drawing, blueprints, and schematics.
