The Data Center Coalition (DCC) is the membership organization that represents and empowers leading data center owners and operators through public policy advocacy, collaborator education, and community engagement. Data centers are the backbone of the modern economy, and our members are investing tens of billions of dollars in capital in new data center facilities across the country to meet outstanding demand for digital services that are central to our lives, including Telehealth, video conferencing, e-commerce, government services, entertainment, and other applications. The DCC represents and advances the interests of this crucial tech infrastructure industry by aggregating industry expertise and thought leadership, partnering with policymakers and other collaborators, and supporting communities where data center teams live and work through active engagement. To learn more, go to About the Role and Opportunity We are growing and looking for a hard-working and ambitious candidate, willing to help build and craft DCC as we continue to scale from a startup to a national organization. Work will be done collaboratively with and report to DCC''s Vice President. You will coordinate member activities, support DCC committees and workgroups, and ensure members are informed of the organization''s broad scope of activities and initiatives through regular communications. Responsibilities Membership Responds to member inquiries and regularly interact with members. Prioritizes, schedules, and coordinates committee meetings, workgroup meetings, and other member meetings. Works collaboratively with the President and Vice President in supporting the work of member committees. Performs all administrative duties related to membership services. Communications Supports team in developing and implementing a variety of internal and external communications, including writing and editing newsletters, email marketing, press releases, web content, and social media outreach as well as crafting PowerPoint slides and presentations. Assists in the development of graphics, collateral, and messaging in place of DCC and its members as well as supporting DCC media relations, as needed. Tracks news coverage of key issues and disseminates articles to staff and members. Leads special projects, including online research, supervises status, communicates timelines and meets target date. Other Provides general administrative support for the DCC President including general incoming/outgoing communications, correspondence, scheduling, and note-taking. Prepares materials, meeting minutes, and summaries for DCC Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and committees. Assists in event planning and logistics, as needed. Represents DCC at meetings and events, as required. Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will be: Enthusiastic, flexible, and diligent self-starter interested in helping to build an organization Strong communicator (oral and written) with data entry and copyediting skills who is proficient in Office 365 Suite (all applications), videoconferencing and email marketing platforms Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team and capable of balancing multiple projects at a time. A resourceful problem solver with a positive and flexible demeanor and dedication to customer service Preferred Qualifications: BA/BS Degree 2-3 years of trade association or chamber of commerce experience in a similar role Proficiency and experience supporting social media on behalf of an organization or corporation Basic graphic design experience, with Photoshop and/or Canva Additional Details: Full-time position with a growing benefits package, which currently includes a monthly health insurance stipend, 401K matching, and vacation and sick leave that start accruing on Day 1! This is a virtual position with the ability to work from a home office. DCC may provide office space at a co-working or shared office facility if preferred. Occasional travel may be required.
