Maintenance Technician

Elevate Textiles is looking for a maintenance technician to join our work family at the Burlington Finishing Plant (formerly known as Burlington Industries) . Must be willing to work in a non-climate controlled environment and work overtime as needed. Drug testing and background check required upon offer of employment. Primary Job Functions Include: • Conducts analysis, repairs and troubleshooting of electronic control systems for all plant manufacturing equipment. • Cleans, repairs and lubricates production equipment such as dye becks, dryers, autoclaves, oil boilers, pressure dye machines, extractors, tenter frames, ovens, shear machines, pad dryers, nappers, wash ranges, etc. • Assembles and aligns gears, bearings and shafts involving the application of press sliding and running fits. • Installs and repairs electronic equipment such as controllers, circuit breakers, heaters, switchboards, semi-conductors, power supplies, electronic controls, transformers, rectifiers, generators, amplifiers, etc. • Troubleshoot and repairs PLC''s, relays, motor controls and AC/DC drives. • Interprets electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints and layouts. • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant production and utility equipment as well as on semi-conductors, power supplies and electronic controls. • Participates in continuous improvement activities and performance teams for suggesting methods to improve processes, efficiency, quality and service. • Must be able to assemble control panels from CAD drawings. • candidate should be flexible to provide after-hours telephone and on-site troubleshooting assistance and project support as needed to plant electrical, engineering and production departments in a 24/6 operation. Qualifications: • High school graduate or equivalent work experience required.
