Messer is seeking a CDL Class B Driver in the Columbus, OH market.The position requires compliance with the following responsibilities:•Maintain a valid driver''s license with Class A or B CDL certification, DOT Physical Examination (Medical Card) & a good driving record•2 years of verifiable experience operating Class A or B Commercial Vehicles•Working knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety regulations / DOT guidelines•Prior experience in safe operation of construction machinery, and a working understanding of load securement and transport methods•Accountability for personal safety & maintaining a safe work environment•Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness on the roadways•Attend Messer safety training programs•Attend applicable continuation skills training programsDuties Include:•Performing daily commercial vehicle inspection•Ensure the completion of necessary repairs to vehicle to ensure operational safety•Maintain complete vehicle inspection reports (Daily)•Safe Loading & unloading of various construction equipment and supplies•Making pick ups & deliveries to job sites in various environments•Performing basic troubleshooting involving malfunctioning equipment and making minor repairs•Demonstrating proper and safe equipment usage to customer at point of delivery•Completing log book and trip sheets meeting all D.O.T. and company record keeping requirementWe provide an excellent and comprehensive compensation package with unlimited opportunity for personal and professional growth.
