Our teams operate at the intersection of wireless, data analytics, AI and the cloud to create something state-of-the-art, radically original and truly unlike what anyone else can.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs part of the DISH Wireless Technology Team, the Orchestration & Assurance Architect will join the team of passionate technologists with start-up spirit to architect, design and engineer DISH''s standalone 5G network. The candidate should be a self-starter and must think outside the box, as well as have the ability to work individually in a start-up environment. The successful candidate will establish and maintain close working relationships with internal peers, (Fellow Network Architects, Development Engineers, Product Engineers, Security Experts, and PMs), as well as the Leadership team.Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories: Work with the team to architect a next generation Orchestration and Assurance solution for a fully automated AI/ML based intent driven network Develop and specify interfaces and APIs between various network functions and IT workloads Design solutions that can allow deployment and management of virtualized resources at scale, including virtual machines, containers, and ''Serverless'' Systems Specify resource and network orchestration requirements for a multi-hybrid cloud deployment Evaluate the available AI/ML tools and specify requirements and data sets for model development and training Analyze and onboard 5G use cases as part of Proof of Concept demonstrations to inform Architecture decisions Contribute to the design of federated data lake and specification of data models Work with potential vendors to specify and develop KPIs to measure end to end network performance Contribute to the design of our cloud native platform and ecosystem that is both secure and reliable Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing while staying abreast of new technology/technical areas Skills, Experience and RequirementsA successful Architect will have the following: Master''s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering preferred, and ten or more years of professional experience with wireless communication Proven record of accomplishment in working with large mobile network operators or integrators on network assurance and automation of virtualized network functions OSS/BSS experience highly preferred Wireless expert with strong hands-on technical skills and the demonstrated ability to work across disparate groups including sales, operations, product management, and engineering Organized, goal-oriented technical leader to lead, follow, and effectively collaborate with knowledgeable Architecture peers and business partners Detailed understanding of ONAP, 3GPP specifications, TM Forum standards, and others such as MEF and Small Cell Forum Must have experience and solid understanding of Kubernetes, Dockers and VMs Must have experience in cloud platforms, preferred to have experience with VMware and at least one Public Cloud Provider Must have hands on experience in designing or building an Service Orchestrator, SDN Controller or RIC manager Should have excellent understanding and experience with open source PaaS components Experience in delivering large systems on a tight timeline Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and cooperate in teams, projects and networks to achieve results LI-DC1 DICE_DC Salary RangeCompensation: $160,700.00/Year - $203,200.00/Year BenefitsFrom versatile health perks to new career opportunities, check out our benefits on our careers website .Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test.
