Then read on. ResponsibilitiesThe Role... The Marketing Director will manage the Premier Protein brand, which is the largest brand at PNC and the 1 brand in the convenient nutrition category. Premier Protein has had a tremendous track record of growth over the last 8 years and we are looking for a strategic, dynamic, and skilled brand marketer to take it into the future. This role will manage the brand including owning annual brand planning, owning brand P&L, driving P&L improvement, creating compelling creative & messaging, identifying and developing line extensions, providing sales support, and developing the skills of the entire marketing team. The position will report into the Senior Director of all base brands and will be a critical part of the marketing leadership team at PNC.The position will be based out of our spacious, modern Emeryville, California office. Manage the Business P&L: 30% of TimeDevelop and gain alignment to annual brand financial plans including Gross Revenue, Net Sales, and EBITDA goals Lead brand short-term and long-term volume forecasting Effectively manage and track brand budgets Deliver and execute on annual targets (Net sales, EBITDA) Partner with cross functional teams to adjust/course-correct in-market as needed to meet yearly financial goalsLead Brand Strategy & Communication Planning: 20% of TimeDevelop long-term strategy of Premier Protein to ensure clear guidance to the organization of where Premier Protein can win in the marketIdentify core consume segments, product pipeline for the next 5 years, optimize core brand fundamentals (brand pyramid, communications pillars, brand essence/personality) by ensuring strong understanding of consumer target and identifying unique insightsLead process with agencies & PNC internal digital/creative to develop and execute impactful Integrated Marketing plans including creative and development of media, digital/social, and PR plansExecute effective and efficient marketing communication plans and analyze results post-program & incorporate learnings into future programsDevelop annual research plans and partner w/ Research team to ensure strong insights Develop/Launch Key Product Initiatives to Meet Annual Brand Goals: 20% of TimeLead commercialization of key projects to ensure continued supply of SKUs, cost savings initiatives, and close-in line extensions and customer driven SKUs Ensure line extensions are grounded in consumer insights Lead all packaging development Coach & Develop Marketing Team: 20% of TimeBe a mentor and strong thought leader in coaching and developing a total marketing group of 25+Directly manage a diverse brand team including BMs, ABMs, CoordinatorsProvide day-to-day guidance & coaching and ensure their personal growth & developmentCross-Functional Support: 10% of TimeStrong support and partnership with key cross functionals including R&D, Sales, and Operations to ensure brand meets annual plan Partner with Sales to develop launch plans, sales materials and selling stories.
