Custodian, Irregular Part-timeFLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Facility Location: Gwinn, Michigan POSITION SUMMARY:The Custodian performs daily cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas of UGLFHC owned facilities and performs other-related general housekeeping tasks regularly or as assigned to maintain a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appears of the clinic environment.Education, Training, Licensing and CredentialingRequired:High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience and SkillsRequired:Experience performing general housekeeping and cleaning dutiesPreferred:Prior experience in a housekeeping, custodial, maintenance, or other facility management role, preferably in a health care environmentExperience using basic cleaning tools, equipment, and suppliesGeneral computer knowledge necessary to send/receive email, access the internet when requested, and complete basic work documents and reports using MS Office.Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Travel RequirementsPhysical Demands:Regular standing and walking for extensive periods of time.Requires manual hand and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination, reaching, pulling/pushing with hands and arms.Occasional stooping, climbing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.Regular lifting up to 50 pounds.Possess adequate hearing to perform daily work to include basic communication verbally with othersSpecific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Regular exposure to a moderate noise level in the work environment.Occasional exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.Frequent exposure to housekeeping/cleaning agents/chemicals and electrical/mechanical/power equipment, and other hazard that may be common to facilities or building infrastructure.Regular prolonged use of personal protective equipment and safety equipment including but not limited to masks, face shields, gloves, goggles, gowns, and safety-related equipment necessary for the job or task, etc.Working Conditions:Infrequent contact with patients and external constituents.Regular contact with management, staff and providers.Occasionally subject to varying and unpredictable situationsOccasionally subject to working outside of normal business hours including evening/weekend hours.Occasional interruptions and changing and/or multiple priorities Travel Requirements:Occasional local travel between facility locationsInfrequent travel regionally.NEXT STEPS: If this opportunity interests you, click Login to Apply to attach your resume, as well as answer all application questions.
