*Resume Required when appyling*BASIC FUNCTIONThe Assembler isresponsible for assembling component parts for rail signaling andcommunications ANIZATIONALRELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Supervises: Production Supervisor This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. SPECIFIC DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES''*'' denotes anessential function of the jobA.* Assembly of componentparts with use of assembly prints and Bill of Materials.B.* Wire crimping,crimping, stripping, soldering.C.*Maintain equipment inproper working order, maintain and improve work area order and cleanliness.D.* Perform requiredfunction using the standard work instructions provided.E.* Perform work in a safeand healthy manner, ensuring deviations to standard work instructions that willlead to quality, productivity, or safety problems are immediately identified.F.* Actively participatein cell meetings in order to understand customer & production needs,quality challenges as well as other key issues.G.* Packaging and shippingof products.H.* Verify productassembly through use of Go/No Go fixtures.I.* Identify andcommunicate ideas to cell leaders that support improving the cell''s performance& the elimination of waste.J.* Use the cell''s visualboards as a means for communicating challenges to your cell as well as avehicle for receiving information on KPI for our cell.K.* Participate in kaizenand other cell improvement teams.L.* Use kanbanmethodology, stocking material.M.* Attends Companymeetings as required.N.* Reading tags andoperation of tag machine.O.* Support other assemblyproduction requirements.P.* Actively participatesin Continuous Improvement meetings as needed.STANDARDS formative andprofessional when working with customers and co-workers.B.Must utilize personalprotective equipment at all times as required.MENTAL AND PHYSICALREQUIREMENTSA.Ability to utilize powertools, hand tools, machinery, and equipment required to perform job.B.Ability to occasionallylift and carry minimal weights from 2 to 50 lbs.C.Ability to stand forextended periods of time.D.Ability to occasionallyclimb heights of 5 - 15 feet on a ladder.E.Ability to occasionallytwist.WORKING ENVIRONMENT ANDCONDITIONSA.This position requiresworking in the internal environment.B.This position requiresworking in an environment with reasonable minimum factory exposure to noise,chemicals, dust and fumes and with exposure to equipment or devices that couldharm self or others.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCEAND TRAININGA.High school diploma.B.Must be able to readwork instructions, schematics, assembly drawings, and prints.C.Must be able tounderstand the English language in order to understand verbal instructions.D.Previous experience inMechanical Assembly preferred.E.Previous solderingskills may be required.
