Position: Sous ChefReports to: General ManagerFLSA Classification: ExemptPosition Summary:The Sous Chef ensures that core responsibilities of the kitchen are meet. The successful candidate recognizes that other related duties not specifically mentioned might also be performed, and that not all responsibilities may be carried out depending on operational needs.Role & Responsibilities:Uphold and exceed expectations of all food quality, sanitation, and brand standardsTrain, coach, and direct a large team to be the best every dayBe able to add structure and organizationTake over responsibilities in the absence of the Executive ChefAlways remain hands-on and eyes-on in every aspect of the KitchenAbility to partner and collaborate with the service team to create unique experiencesQualifications: 2+ years in a Sous Chef roleHigh-volume, scratch kitchen leadership experienceMust be a great cook and really be passionate about how the food quality affects customer experienceProven proficiency in inventory, ordering, scheduling, team building, and the ability to analyze food cost and labor costPassion for high food quality standards and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentExperience with Pastry & Baking a plus.Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the bakery, including, but not limited, those contained in the employee handbook.Kneads operates 7 days a week.
