Come join this talented family of designers, engineers, cyber security experts, analysts, and product managers as they partner with multi-disciplinary teams across the laboratory to advance a bold digital transformation agenda leveraging the latest in cloud architectures, agile, user experiences, and continuous integration/continuous delivery to create the PNNL Digital Workplace.ResponsibilitiesAgile Project ManagerAs an Agile Project Manager, you are involved in supporting strategic initiatives for the laboratory, defining tasks and timelines, coordinating across departments, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery. You are responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments, and goals. This includes coordinating efforts for teams and third-party resources in order to deliver projects, and to define the project''s objectives and oversee quality of deliverables and products. This position works closely with the Assets and Facilities Digital Platform Manager and teams supporting HR and Finance capabilities. The Agile Project Manager also ensures that an Agile project management approach/methodology is followed.Key Responsibilities:Manage medium to large projects that have significant levels of complexity, including cross-team engagement, larger stakeholder groups, significant S&T impact, medium to high risk, and strategic business impact.Possess a comprehensive understanding of effective project management practices and principles and demonstrates proficiency in applying an Agile, but disciplined, approach to project management.Ensure that the team has a well-defined, prioritized backlog of executable work.Ensure that Service Requests are triaged in a timely manner and are prioritized/scheduled for work in alignment with the urgency of the request.Ensure that sprints are planned in a way that balances the achievement of project outcomes, the completion of service requests, and the resolution of technical debt.Have the ability to drive and influence Agile project management methodology and practices.Effectively coach and lead Agile delivery team to meet project municate with both internal and external project stakeholders, lead presentations.Drive and track interdependencies across work streams, communicate status and assist with maintaining team metrics.Develop work estimates and resource allocations using agile techniques.Effectively assess project risks, opportunities, and develop contingency anize and facilitate Agile ceremonies (E.g., stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews & retrospectives).Identify and resolve bottlenecks and provide escalation management.Engagement skillsLeads task and project plan development, fosters an empowered team environment, and champions continual improvements.Manage sensitive business situations and influence positive outcomes.Effectively guide and mentor junior level staff.Manage projects budget, monitor progress, and evaluate project performance.QualificationsMinimum Qualificatons:Bachelor''s degree plus 8 years of experienceAdvanced degree plus 6 years of experienceFour or more years of experience relevant to project management and depth of knowledge in science and/or methods needed to deliver project.
