As an added value to our clients, we also provide cost estimating, scheduling and value engineering services in-house. It is this seamless integration of multidisciplinary capabilities that sets us apart from other firms.We currently have an opening for aSenior Mechanical Project Managerfor our Transportation & Infrastructure division. We provide design services to both public agencies and private corporations. Current projects include Rail Transit System, road tunnels, bus transit terminals, transportation maintenance facilities, municipal buildings such as public work facilities, and commercial/retail.Responsibilities:Lead the work of the mechanical design team through the concept design to the contract document phase of a project.Establishmeetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.Is responsible for coordinating workload to complete the document on schedule.Conductwork sessions in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines.Write/edit mechanical specifications and select equipment, systems, and devices.Coordinate and assist affected disciplines with addenda, requests for information, change proposal requests, and change orders and is responsible for incorporating agreed-upon changes into the project documents.Provide technical support during the construction phase, including submittal review, inspections, and punch list.Experience with tunnel ventilation, underground station mechanical and plumbing systemsExperience with transit building services, including HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire ProtectionManage project budgets and schedulesManage mechanical/plumbing staffQualificationsBachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.CA PE is required.A minimum of 15 years experience in mechanical/plumbing system design is required. Experiences in Transportation and Transit projects is puter experience using load calculation software, energy modeling software, REVIT, ACAD, and manufacturer selection software desired.Position requires someone with strong mentoring skills.
