We operate in close proximity to our clients around the globe and have core locations in Alabama, California, DC Metro, Florida, Hawaii, Maryland, and Massachusetts.Today, as SMX, we are one team and together empower government and commercial enterprises to become more effective, innovative, and resilient, no matter what challenges they face.SMX is seeking a Sr. Project Manager responsible for leading a government IDIQ and associated projects to uphold business initiatives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlinesDelegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete themMaking effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the projectServing as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergyCommunicating with executives keep the project aligned with their goalsPerforming quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expectedAdjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project changeLead monthly program reviews for government program. Demonstrate a complete mastery of the following for all projects and ensure were meeting contractual obligations for:Budget StatusContract StatusTechnical Delivery PerformanceCustomer SatisfactionTerms & ConditionsInvoicing and CollectionsFinancial reports including burn reportsMastery of program financials including:RevenueDirect CostsGross MarginIndirect CostsProfitGM% of RevenueProfit % of RevenueManagement of SMX program staff including performance management, mentoring and professional developmentManagement of subcontractors including subcontracts, quotes, invoices and representing a unified Team SMX to customersCreates and maintains detailed work plans to include specific tasks, assignments, task dependencies, milestones, and schedule for all tasks (make sure we have project plans, risk management plans and all related program/project management documentation)Provide at least monthly account and program management reviews to the government contracting office leveraging the SMX template already developed for DOI and monthly status updates on all contractual deliverables.Ensure timely, concise and accurate communications with customers, partners and internal stakeholders.Help drive growth and participate in capture process for IDIQ opportunities.Own CPARs and ensure they are positiveCommunicate in a timely and clear manner with partners (both internal and external), subcontractors, customers and all key stakeholders.Required Experience:Minimum of 7 years of experience and knowledge of project management practices and techniques, including plan development, scope and change control management, work breakdown structure.7 years of experience in project coordination implementing multiple projects with competing prioritiesStrong organization skills to take initiative and manage multiple tasks and work independently in a demanding, dynamic environment.Project Cost analysis and Financial Management (Burn reporting & Forecasting)Able to consistently meet deadlines and have strong technical experience in Microsoft Office.Must possess a strong knowledge of IT infrastructure.Experience and knowledge of Cloud project management practices and techniques is highly desiredLI-RemoteSMX is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
